Yang Tong Xing - Wanhangdu Road Branch (万航渡路店)

Casual Dining · Halal certified · Shanghai, China

Cuisines: Chinese

The Wanhangdu Road outlet of Yang Tong Xing brings the same century-old halal mutton hotpot tradition to the Changning District — one of Shanghai's most established and leafy residential and commercial precincts, west of the former French Concession and close to Zhongshan Park. For residents and visitors in the western part of the city, this branch provides convenient access to the same celebrated cooking that has made Yang Tong Xing a cornerstone of Shanghai's halal dining heritage since 1906, without the need to travel to the Jing'an flagship.

The menu and philosophy are identical to the Shimen Road outlet: the defining experience remains the traditional Beijing-style halal shuanyangrou, with paper-thin slices of fresh, carefully selected halal mutton swished through a clear copper hotpot broth and dipped into the house sesame paste sauce. The boiled tripe (爆肚), red willow skewered mutton kebabs (红柳羊肉大串), gold-award beef pan-fried buns (金奖牛肉煎包), and the full roster of halal noodle and dumpling dishes are all available. The Changning branch operates with the same unpretentious, old Beijing-style atmosphere and local character that has defined the brand for over a century.
