LUXE BURGERS Asakusa

Opened in December 2023, LUXE BURGERS & Sunny's Table Asakusa is the second outlet of one of Tokyo's most celebrated halal burger restaurants, bringing its French-inspired gourmet burger concept to one of Japan's most iconic and internationally visited districts. Situated on the second and third floors of a building just steps from the famous Senso-ji Temple and the Nakamise shopping arcade, the restaurant has quickly established itself as a go-to halal dining destination in Asakusa, ranking among the top restaurants in the area on TripAdvisor with a near-perfect rating.

The story of LUXE BURGERS begins with its owner — a Japanese Muslim chef who honed his culinary craft at world-class establishments including Hotel de Mikuni, the Mandarin Hotel, and the Westin Hotel, before channelling his French fine-dining training into creating a gourmet halal burger experience unlike any other in Japan. The result is a menu of over 30 varieties of meticulously crafted burgers, where every element — from the fluffy artisan buns and premium halal-certified wagyu and lamb patties, to the house sauces and seasonings — is prepared in-house with care and precision. The wagyu patties are sourced from Kurohanagyu, a halal-certified Japanese beef brand, ensuring the highest standards of both quality and halal integrity. Notably, the restaurant is entirely mayonnaise-free, and diners can even customise the doneness of their meat just as you would at a fine French restaurant.
Signature burgers range from the Luxe Straight Burger — juicy, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated with fresh salad and crispy fries — to more elevated creations like the Truffle Avocado Burger and the Double Cheeseburger. For those who prefer plant-based options, a fully vegan burger featuring a soy-based patty, fried maitake mushroom, avocado, and red radish delivers a remarkable depth of flavour and texture, free from all animal products including honey. A Bangladeshi cuisine menu is also available on advance reservation, adding further cultural breadth to this inclusive dining destination.

The interior is warm and inviting, with a distinctly homey Japanese atmosphere. Seating is available at tables, a counter, and a tatami floor section where guests remove their shoes — a family-friendly touch that particularly appeals to diners with young children.
